The genuine C-A-T® Gen 7 Combat Application Tourniquet by North American Rescue is a true one-handed tourniquet built to quickly control life-threatening bleeding from an arm or leg. It has been the official tourniquet of the U.S. Army since 2005 and is recommended by the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (CoTCCC).

The Gen 7 uses a single routing buckle for faster application and easier slack removal, a reinforced windlass with a bilateral clip for a quick, secure lock, and a free-moving internal band that applies even pressure all the way around the limb. The gray windlass strap holds everything in place and gives you a spot to write the time it was applied.
